A Marketplace is a community forum that supports a variety of activities such as the advertising, commerce or general collaboration of any product or service. Marketplaces are fully customizable and self-administrative, from creation to community participation.
Use the Forms in the Catalog app to quickly create a Marketplace. You have full control over the creation of the Marketplace content so that all participants adhere to a specific standard.
Each Marketplace has moderator functions for a designated user to closely watch all activity within the Marketplace. This includes controlling both content and membership participation.
Each Marketplace has the built-in ability to search for specific content and message other community members. These features make Marketplaces an effective tool for collaboration.
Access to Marketplaces can be controlled by assigning Marketplace membership. This type of access control allows Marketplaces to be created for many purposes and many types of community members simultaneously. This ensures only the right members have access to the appropriate Marketplaces.
The ability to post content to the Marketplace can be controlled by assigning "publisher" membership. This type of access control allows select users within the community to have a creator role in publishing to a Marketplace.
